 Futures North 2011 - Free Place bursary scheme now open

Futures North 2011 takes place on Wednesday 2nd November at Sheffield Hallam Student Union. 

We have a free place bursary scheme in operation for new and small co-operatives and individuals interested in co-operation. To apply please email alex@cooperatives-yh.coop with the subject Futures North and 2 sentences on how you would benefit from attending Futures North. To register as a delegate please visit our registration page.
A free delegate place is available for members of our enhanced benefits package. See below for details.
Our Keynote Speakers are Will Straw from IPPR, Rob Hopkins from the Transition Network, Professor Adrian Hopgood Pro-Vice Chancellor of Sheffield Hallam University and Dr Rory Ridley-Duff of Sheffield Business School.
Our Question Time Panel consists of  Dr Robin Murray author of 'Co-operation in the Age of Google', Paul Schofield of the Cabinet Office and Andrea Westall all confirmed with one more due to be confirmed and Adrian Ashton in the chair.

Co-operatives Yorkshire and the Humber Enhanced Benefits Package
Join our enhanced scheme for a number of new benefits including a free place at Futures North 2011. An event for staff and volunteers from new and established co-ops, community food enterprises, and food access projects to help further develop sustainable co-operative enterprise in the North of England.
• Learn about each others activities, and share ideas and information
• A variety of workshops including ‘How and why to set up as a co-op’, ‘Volunteer recruitment and support’ and ‘Good meetings, communication & facilitation’, plus more!
• Advice and support from Sustain, The Co-operative, Co-operative Enterprise Hub, Co-operativesUK and regional co-op councils, and others…
This is a FREE event, with a tasty lunch made with local, organic and seasonal produce.
