Sheffield Renewable Update

The Jordan Dam Hydro project has met two significant obstacles:

- The tender prices we received for the project were higher than we could afford

- The Environment Agency increased the requirement for fish passage on the river.

Kelham Island Hydro was always going to be our second scheme, and without the income from Jordan Dam we have also put this scheme on hold.

We consulted our investors at a Special General Meeting in March 2013 and as a result we are now working on a scheme to install photovoltaic solar panels on the roofs of community buildings.

We hope to have our first project installed by Autumn 2013.
