Co-operatives Yorkshire and Humber Conference and AGM

Future Co-operatives

Future Co-operatives Conference is running from January 28th to 30th.

The challenge this year is ‘Co-operatives & The Big Society Are We In ......... Or Are We Out?’

Future Co-operatives Conference is a interactive, challenging opportunity for co-operative activists to come together to discuss and debate opportunities and issues facing the movement and then to identify actions that they are going to do when they go back to their own individual co-operatives.

Co-operatives in the age of Google

Co-operatives UK have published a new report by Robin Murray, Co-operation in the age of Google, which presents a radical vision for expanding the co-operative sector over the coming years.

The report, at times quite controversial, is open for public viewing and download, and for comments and discussion by members of Co-operatives UK.

Co-operatives Fortnight

Co-operatives UK has announced that Co-operatives Fortnight 2011, the national campaign that unites the sector in raising awareness of the co-operative model, will take place from 25 June to 9 July 2011 with the theme - ‘Yours To Share' see our website for more details

The MSc Social Enterprise and Business Democracy

The MSc Social Enterprise and Business Democracy course offered by Sheffield Business School is the first in the UK that focuses on the relationship between social enterprise and democratic management practices. The curriculum provides a radical alternative to a standard MBA, geared toward the specific needs of employee-owned, cooperative and social enterprises.

Transition Funding

Big Fund is delivering the Transition Fund on behalf of the Office for Civil Society (OCS), Cabinet Office.

The £100m Transition Fund will give out grants between £12,500 - £500,000 to social enterprises meeting the specific criteria.
