Policy Update

Over the last month or so we've seen consultations on Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) and the Regional Growth Fund. 

In this region 5 proposals for LEPs were put forward: Leeds City Region, Sheffield City Region, York and North Yorkshire, Hull East Riding and Scarborough, and  the Humber. 

So far, two are likely to be given the green light: Leeds City Region and Sheffield City Region. It is unclear whether Hull will be covered by a LEP as it has thus far stated it would not be part of a Humber-wide LEP. 

Profile Raising

We need to be in a position to effectively raise the profile of co-operatives in the region, particularly when new bodies such as the LEPs come into effect. If you don't currently have a case study on our website, but would like one, please contact ian@cooperatives-yh.coop.

Futures North- post event
