Consultation: Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs)

The Government have recently written to all local authority leaders consulting over the proposed new structures following the announcement of the abolition of Regional Development Agencies. More information can be found here. If you have any thoughts about the proposed new structures, email ian@cooperatives-yh.coop and it will be fed into existing consultations.

Co-operatives UK- new site, and Think Pieces

Co-operatives UK have redeveloped their website which now also includes a range of Think Pieces- on subjects including: FC Barcelona, and the UK Co-operative Economy 2010. 

Launch of the regional Co-operative Enterprise Hub

Leeds West Indian Carnival 2010
The carnival, taking place on August Bank Holiday (30th), is an excellent opportunity to promote ‘the co-operative movement in your community’ Supported by the Leeds and Wakefield Area Committee, Laura Taggart is working on trying to bring together as many different co-operators, from Leeds and beyond, together to promote the movement.
